For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in high places. Eph 6:12

Why do people doubt their salvation?

People doubt their salvation because:

  1. They trust in feelings rather than the word of God. "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool:. . ." Proverbs 28:26
  2. They are confused by the simplicity of salvation. "But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from THE SIMPLICITY that is in Christ." 2 Corinthians 11:3
  3. They trust in tradition or church teachings rather than the word of God. "Making the word of God of none effect through your TRADITION,. . ." Mark 7:13
  4. They trust in their own righteousness. ". . . and all OUR RIGHTEOUSNESSES are as filthy rags;. . ." Isaiah 64:6
  5. They misapply and misunderstand scriptures. They misapply scriptures such as Matthew 24:13, Hebrews 10:26, when Mt. 25:13 doctrinally applies to the tribulation or the millenium and Heb 10:26 refers to total apostasy and rejection of Christ, not backsliding.
  6. They have NEVER been saved. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;. . ." Matthew 7:21

What is being saved all about?

We are living in a time like no other. The signs of the time are all around us. We see things happening right before our eyes that Jesus said in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21 would come to pass just before his coming again. Jesus said, "When ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the door." (Mt 24:33) The Bible says also that the generation that sees these things "shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Mat 24:34) Most Christians have no idea that they are commanded to look for our Lord's coming. "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come" (Mat 24:42).

The Bible promises a reward to all people who remain watchful for Jesus' return. "Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing" (2 Tim 4:8).

My friends, we are about to witness the glorious appearing of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. But there is something that we must be aware of. The Apostle Paul calls it a mystery and tells about it in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55.

Preparing For Personal Revival
  1. Pray the prayer of the psalmist: "Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts: and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24
  2. Be totally honest as you answer each question.
  3. Agree with God about each need He reveals in your life. Confess each sin, with the willingness to make it right.
  4. Repent from sin! Turn from every sin the Lord reveals in your heart and forsake it.
  5. Praise God for His cleansing and forgiveness.
  6. Review these questions periodically to remain sensitive to your need for ongoing revival.

Political Correctness

Political Correctness (PC) is the communal tyranny that erupted in the 1980s. It was a spontaneous declaration that particular ideas, expressions and behavior, which were then legal, should be forbidden by law, and people who transgressed should be punished. It started with a few voices but grew in popularity until it became unwritten and written law within the community. With those who were publicly declared as being not politically correct becoming the object of persecution by the mob, if not prosecution by the state.

Politically correct is a term originally used ironically by the left to deflate political over-zealousness, now meaning whatever your politics want it to mean, all of it bad.

  1. According to conservatives, a politically correct cabal of leftists, feminists and homosexuals seized control of U.S. universities in the 1980s and is now forcing its politics on everyone else.
  2. According to progressives, this is classic liberal-bashing.
  3. According to people with no strong political orientation, political correctness means that they have to watch what they say.

Political correctness is characterized by, but not limited to, intolerance, humorlessness, self-righteousness, sloganeering and dogmatism.
So is anti-political correctness.
