You did such a great job on this site. I have learned so much by searching the family tree. And there is so much more to look at. The great thing is now I can talk to my Grandchildren about the ancestry's of the family. Thank you again..

"Achaia" is a formation of the word "Ashia" who was mypaternal great grandmother; she was married to John Benjamin Godley. My grandfather David Seal was one of their nine children. I was the first child of Donald Sherman, 17th and last child, of David Seal and Martha Rentz Godley. There were no multiple births. Fifteen of the 17 children lived to be married.

When I was saved some 30 plus years ago, I did not receive this message (or anything that would lead me to this understanding). I was saved in a small Assembly of God Church and the Pastor and his wife were truly wonderful people. They did their best to help me in uncountable ways. I don't believe however that they realized that I did not understand that I needed to keep the Cross of Christ before me every day. I tried the best I knew how to serve the Lord through studying the Bible, regular Church attendance, playing a little music in church, and . . . .  read more

We are descended from John Hanil Waters through David and Rebecca Waters > William Daniel & Elizabeth Ann Waters > Alexander Ewing Harris Jr. & Amanda Daniel (my gg-grandparents). We are trying to get over a few brick walls - just found out our gggg-grandmother Esther (b. PA, part of the Scots-Irish "Seceders" who went to Abbeville SC in abt 1784) d. 1856 Bainbridge. Our gg-grandfather Harris served in 29th GA Battalion Co. B. Am very happy to find a cousin who better understands the religious principles that guided the daily lives of our people, because these have been key in getting us this far.

I have been trying to find the lineage of Uriah Bell. He was a confederate soldier and a physcian of medicine. He died at the Austin COnfederate HOme at age of 100, in Austin, Texas. Sure wish I could tell if we are related through your tree.

I googled myself and came across your site. It's very well done. We seem to be on the same page doctrinally. I haven't gotten to far back on my family tree yet. My line goes back to 1840s in Virginia and came to Texas in the 1850s.
